![]() I had a single container of sauce in the scores and scores of meals that I’ve had that leaked and got in the box. In four months of weekly shipments to upstate New York not once have I had a shipping issue. They now have kitchens in several major cities around the country so that things are not being shipped across country. ![]() I just noticed this thread and I see that it is an old one, but I have to weigh in because I’m researching for hassles with their packaging. ![]() ![]() Is the food arriving ok? Has anyone tried canceling? I’d love to hear real world experiences, especially in CA (and doubly so the SF Bay Area). Normally I’d just walk away, but that menu, and all the great food reviews… I also did a couple of customer review searches for Freshly and Factor_ to baseline and they weren’t nearly as bad (especially Factor_, which I’d expect to be comparable). I wasn’t happy to see the exact thing I was concerned with multiple times, then the possibility of delivery woes on top of that. I know any service draws these kinds of complaints but I was already put off by the cancellation clause which is what led me to search. The food seems indisputably wonderful and I’m super impressed by the menu, but the service is throwing red flags to me left and right. And the other reviews on that site also suggested a lot of admin problems that make me wonder how successful I’d be correcting the delivery issues. I’m ADHD and every hoop is a chance I put off a call and forget.Īnd then I saw something on here, and another extensive review from someone local to me on another business review site that their deliveries have a nasty habit of being screwed up with missing items, damaged packaging and other problems that didn’t all seem to be Fed Ex’s fault. Plus they describe their own retention script hoops they make you jump through to cancel in the responses and I really really hate companies that do that. Web chat may be a workaround to that-except per their own complaint responses they apparently don’t always monitor it.Īnd then I found the BBB complaints and their frankly offputting double-down responses to people who couldn’t cancel. …but then I found the CookUnity cancellation clause of having to personally contact them-which is arguably illegal for companies conducting business in CA if they allow you to sign up on the website. However, I’m not keto so some of the choices aren’t as appropriate for me, and I’m a little concerned I’ll get bored with the menu.īut after seeing the glowing CookUnity food reviews, I investigated and they’re delivering to CA now! And what a chef and food lineup, just like Munchery was and like 2-3x the choices! I was hella pumped and almost paused Factor_ and signed up on the spot. So I just signed up for Factor_, which looks great and I’m going to try it for a month. I loved Munchery deliveries back in the day, and hate cooking, so I’m totally pumped about the idea of getting that sort of thing shipped like a meal kit on the regular. I just discovered prepared meal services have become a thing. I can not attest to the integrity of any of them. I suspect some are paid to influence ratings or reviews.
